There are now many places to find After effects templates. We’ve taken some time to list our favourite ten places to find them.

1. Videohive

Huge archive of After effects templates, Videohive is part of the massively successful Envato network – a giant marketplace covering graphics, web templates, music, scripts – you name, they got it! Videohive caters towards motion graphics artists with After Effects templates, motion sequences and video footage.

2. Revostock

One of the very first pioneers of the After Effects template marketplace, Revostock also have a huge collection of templates. One of the key differences between Revostock and Videohive is that Videohive set the template prices themselves, whereas on Revostock, authors can set their own prices. This seems a fairer practice for the authors who can price their templates according to how long they have spent creating the template, but also results in a bigger margin between low priced templates and high priced templates, so you have to shop around a lot more.

3. AfterEffectsProject

AfterEffectsProject.com are quickly growing their range and now have a pretty extensive collection of quality templates. Authors can sign up and sell their templates with a similar model to Revostock, where they can set their own prices. They also automatically get a 60% commission rate which is higher than Videohive and Revostock’s. As the site is newer than the above sites, there’s still many genres to fill, so if you’re an After Effects Author, it’s a good time to submit popular project topics such as photography, weddings, business etc, before they start to get saturated.

4. RuffKutMedia

With over 50 templates for sale, RuffkutMedia have been around a while and have some really well produced templates. They also have 100s of tutorials and great information for the After Effects artist.

5. AEProjects.com

Another of the first After Effects template sites to appear, AEProjects offer much more then just templates, with tutorials, presets and services. The site design could possibly do with an refresh as it’s a little narrow when viewed on a large monitor, but the content is all there for you.

6. Planet AEP

Planet AEP offer templates and lots of small useful elements such as backgrounds, textures, particles and text for when you need to add a little extra fizz to your project.

7. WeMakeMotion

WeMakeMotion offer full a custom motion service and also have a great collection of templates for sale.

8. DropDrop

Another superb company offering After Effects based motion services as well as offering a fantastic collection of templates that you can customise.

9. BlueFX

Templates and tutorials by Gyorfi Szilard – a really useful set of templates and lots of tutorials to absorb.

10. AEDude

AEDude is a small company committed to providing really high quality After Effects templates. Each template comes with an easy to follow video tutorial. At the time of writing they had around 25 quality templates for sale.
