Where to find After Effects Templates
- January 15th, 2010
After Effects Templates are now saving motion graphics artists hours and hours of time, by providing slick animated sequences which can be customized extremely easily and quickly. To take advantage of this service, you firstly need a copy of After Effects from Adobe and of course, you’ll need to learn the basics of the software.
How do I use an After Effects Template?
Most After Effects projects that are on sale, allow you to add your own images, movie clips and text to placeholders that have been animated into a sequence. So all the special effects and animation work has been done for you – all you need to do is open the projects and swap the placeholders and text for your own images and text. Then you render the project to make a movie at whatever size you require.
Where can I buy these After Effects Templates?
There’s some premium After Effects Project files at aftereffectsproject.com – take a look over there first.
The two top distributors of After Effects templates are currently Videohive and Revostock.
Videohive templates offer cheaper prices – typically around $15-$30 for amazing sequences. There’s some of the top motion graphics artists contributing templates.
Revostock have some fantastic templates, but have a different pricing structure. The highest level templates are on sale for $100, but these really are professional pieces of work and well worth the investment, but there’s also lower levels, which cost less, containing shorter or less intense templates – but there may be something in there which is exactly what you need.
